The Wild Outdoors

About a year ago my parents bought some land about an hour from Dallas, where they are planning to build a house and retire! It is absolutely gorgeous! They are having it "groomed" right now and adding a 2 plus acre lake! It has been so much fun to watching them work on the land and to see the progression from the very beginning. There is just something about being out on land in the middle of no where just surrounded by God's creation. I can't wait to watch Weslee grow up out here 4-wheeling, fishing and hunting with her daddy and just doing some good outside playing!

This is the lake that they are digging out right now

We are standing in the bottom of the lake

Clearing out some trees

Just taking it all in..these two are quite fond of each other! A girl and her capt' and her land..what more could you need in life!

Little bit is already a huge fan of the dirt and playing in it, of course it all went straight to her mouth!

A little bit down the road some people have Longhorns on their property so we decided to stop and take our picture! It worked out perfectly because it was the same day that my Baylor Bears beat the husbands Texas Longhorns! :)

This groups of trees are my favorite on all of the property. They are huge and have the most perfect limbs!

We went back to the land this past Monday to check it out and finalize where my parents are going to build the house! Once we get close and it is dirt roads little bit gets to ride free in the car! Don't worry we are super careful and safe!

Sporting her sunglasses with her KT!

This is Weslee's favorite place to be with her Cap't...she loves his hat! A funny story I want to remember is these two scoping out the land and just walking around. After about 5-10 minutes they start making their way back to us and Weslee had spit up all down the back of his head and neck. Yuck!

This is the dam for the lake that they have just started finishing up!

Weslee's shirt says "best" because her sweet little cousin, Claire, has a shirt that says "friends!" They are going to have so much fun growing up together and hopefully making lots of memories out here!

Here is a view from the other side of the land..it is just gorgeous! Off to the left of this photo is where the house is going to be! Hopefully one day as well the husband and I will build a house out here too (that is the plan at least :) )

This was Weslee's first time riding in the "mule" ( I think that is what it is called). We drove up with Nick (the man who is fixing up the land) to the top of the property to discuss how the road was going to come down to the house! He lives out on the land right now in an RV and just works with his wife grooming the land all day! Once he finishes our property he will move to his next contract, I think that he has one of the best jobs!

We decided to get out and entertain ourselves while the men folk talked..

This girl and her KT..two peas in a pod!

When little bit was standing up in the back of the Mule in her socks this is what happened...the sweetest little footprints I have ever seen! We carefully took them off of her feet and are going to frame them and put them in her room at the land house! I think it is going to be such a special memory!

By the end of our time there she had worn her self out playing and looking at everything! She very rarely falls asleep in my arms anymore so this was quite the treat for me! I love that little arm wrapped around me!
The most beautiful girl in the world..those lips!
