nursery, 27 weeks, and changes,,

Being a teacher I have decorated about 5 classrooms total...basically every year that I have taught. Now when I decorate a classroom and get it ready it is quite the ordeal and inevitably I end up getting frustrated to the point of hating the room at some point in the process. Though in every room I have ever taught in I have ended up *loving* it at the end! So I'm not quite sure why I thought decorating a nursery would be any different but oh.my.goodness! Decorating Weslee's nursery has been the absolute hardest! I am not sure if it is the hormones that are all over the place or just my need for things to be perfect but I can not get this nursery right! I have scored the internet, Pinterest, Instagram, blogs and everywhere else I can think of for ideas to make baby girls nursery just right but right when I think I have it down then I change my mind! I am going to show you a glimpse of what is going on in the nursery currently and feel free to give me some feedback on what you would do!

Here is a shelf that is in her room currently (the wreath is from our wedding and is dried baby's breaths!) My MIL found the block letters for me and I just love them! Currently there is nothing in the drawers except in the first one there are some of her headbands! I am thinking we will use the baskets to hold things needed for diaper changes and just some misc items!

Here is a view of right when you walk in the door...The curtains were just plain burlap but my mom and I added a cream ruffle to the bottom. We just got the rug in from Lulu and Georgia...I love it!! I knew it was a risk when I bought it but I think it really added a pop to her room!

The door in this picture is an old door that we found that eventually will have her monogram hanging over it! I originally had it next to the crib but moved it over by her rocking chair this past weekend and think that it really helped balance out the room.  Our rocker is from Pottery Barn and I just love it, I think it is perfect because it doesn't look like a nursery chair...meaning when we don't need it in the nursery anymore we can use it somewhere else! That line might of been what convinced the hubby that we **needed** it! I want to find a fun pillow or throw blanket for the rocker as well.

My in-laws got us this sweet rocker with Weslee's name on it! It is the softest fabric and think it fits perfectly in her room!

There is one more side of the nursery that I have to complete  plus just finding small knick-knack things  but I think we have the big things done! I can't believe in just 13 weeks we will have a sweet baby girl in this room!

The ever growing belly from a different view point this week! The sweet guy at church that greets us every week with some witty comment informed me this past week that there is no more hiding little girl! I would have to agree!!
How far along? 27 weeks
Baby Size: Cucumber..15 inches and about albs
Baby Gender: GIRL!!!!!!
Total weight gain: I think right around 20 pounds!
Maternity clothes? It is getting more difficult getting dressed in the morning and sometimes when I come out of the closet the husband busts out laughing and thats my cue as to not to wear that outfit but still hanging on to just the one pair of maternity jeans! Now I am really determined not to buy any since we have only 3 months left!
Stretch marks? So far so good...keeping fingers crossed!
Sleep: It has actually gotten better the past couple of weeks! I still wake up to go to the restroom but then I usually am able to fall back asleep. I usually can't sleep past 6:30 but it has actually been nice getting up a little bit earlier!
Best moment this week: well technically it was last week but getting to hear baby girl's heartbeat and finding out that I passed the glucose test!! woohoo!! Baby girl is quite the mover so it is always a challenge to find her heart beat at first and this time our doctor said "You have a very active baby" while she was looking for heart beat..I'm blaming all of her energy on her father!
Miss Anything? My sinuses  have really started bothering me so I am really missing being able to take a Z-Pack right now to get rid of these bad boys!
Movement: She is moving lots and is quite the active girl. It is the absolute best feeling when I feel her move. Last Wednesday during bible study she was moving like crazy and you could see my stomach really moving! She was making it very hard to pay attention!
Food cravings: ANYTHING!! My sweet tooth has really kicked in this past week!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, feeling pretty good!
Labor Signs: Not a thing..thank goodness!!
Symptoms: Feeling pretty good this week minus the allergies/sinuses.
Belly Button in or out? Still in..but I feel like it is barely hanging on...
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I I feel like I have been on the verge of tears more recently but besides that I think my mood has stayed about the same.
Looking forward to: There are officially 9 days till spring break ( that is school days ..the only ones that really matter!!) and I can not wait! March is looking like its going to be quite the month..spring break, 1 year wedding anniversary, bible study retreat with some amazing girls, and Weslee's first shower!! All of it is so exciting!

Now if you follow me on instagram and that is how you got to the blog you know that this will be my last year teaching! I have officially turned in my resignation as of today!  I am so excited to begin this new chapter (well in about 12 weeks) of being a stay at home mom. I have dreamed of those words forever it seems like..I have always known that if it was at all possible that being a SAHM was my dream job! I know there will be days and times that I will really miss teaching  but I can not wait to spend everyday with my little one! I have no idea what the future holds for us but I am anxious to find out! I have already claimed helping my friends get their classrooms ready for the beginning of the school year and will probably try and sub every now and again as well, just to get my teaching fix :)!
