ONE.
We have had some gorgeous weather in the Dallas area as of late (don't worry jealous friends..that changed today and we are back int he 40s) and we have been taking full advantage! We have been on more walks than I can count and only have tea parties outside! It is a total game changer when the weather is nice around here!
TWO
We are getting ready for Valentines day over here and I have found the cutest Valentine cards (from OllieAndLulu ) for Weslee Grace to "pass out" to her friends! It may be a little absurd for an 8 month old to hand out Valentine Cards but thats just how we do things over here!
THREE
Apparently now that little bit turned 8 months old she thinks she is big stuff! It took me FOREVER to find a grocery cart cover that I loved (because you know those things are important and everything) but finally I found one! My MIL got it for us and I could not love it more! So we now ride in the carts like a big girl..and oh my goodness she LOVES it!
AND this one has decided that sitting is overrated and standing is the new game! She has started standing by herself and when she is feeling extra brave she will move one foot towards me..and then promptly fall down of course! I have a feeling in the next few weeks we are going to be in a whole new world!
That grin melts this mommas heart!
FOUR
On the side and for fun, I paint stools for teachers! I always painted a stool for my classroom and then started getting requests to paint stools for other people! Since I am staying home this has been a fun way to make a little extra money! Though I will say painting with a baby is a whole new ballgame! I just finished up another stool that was quite hard to paint…not because of the requests but because I was painting it to represent the team that beat my Baylor Bears in their bowl game! I managed to put my feelings aside and get it done too! This customer wanted it to "sparkle" which was a first time request but I think it looks so cute…glitter is hard to take pictures of, especially with my iPhone!
Last but for sure not least we are celebrating this guy this weekend! It is his birthday tomorrow! Weslee Grace and I get to be his dates to lunch today for his birthday and we couldn't be more excited! He is the absolute best dad and capt' around, no questions! Weslee Grace thinks that he is just the best and lights up when he is around (and she is particularly obsessed with his Dallas Fire Department hat that he always wears!) He has taught me so much from how to love God with everything, to have unshakeable faith, to love my family with everything inside of me and one of my most favorite qualities that he has shown me and taught me is to be selfless. He puts everyone before himself. Always. He always finds the good in people and is constantly reminding me as well! I am one lucky girl to have this guy as my daddy and Weslee Grace could not of picked out a better capt' for herself! Happy Birthday(tomorrow!) daddy! I love you!
Happy Friday everyone and I hope you have a great weekend!
