Our Weeked

Our weekend had its ups and downs this go around!
Friday night was low key at home where little bit wore her bunny tail so that I could "oooh" and "awwww" over her all night! If you have a little one or big one for that matter you need to head to Target and grab one of these clip on bunny tails from the dollar spot! So fun for easter!

Will is building a dining room table for some of our friends so he was busy with that all weekend...that just left little bit and me! First things first we played with our Easter eggs and ate breakfast while we reading  our book!

Learning to blow kisses!

She had enough of the camera at this point! *funny girl*

Picking up all the cheerios she threw all over the floor! Glad that she loves this game!

We then decided to tag along with my parents to see the land and check on how much the lake went up! It was a gorgeous day so I was really glad we got to go with them! Driving to and from the land pretty much takes up our whole day but it is well worth it!

There is one horse on the land for now but soon will be about 15 I believe! This one gets special privileges because she is older and the other horses were picking on her!

Playing on capt's new truck with KT!

One of my all time favorite pictures..just a girl and her capt' and a rare moment when she is not trying to take his hat off his head!

These two clownin' around!

Walking on the rock road with KT!

And sometimes she just wants her momma...and I am 100% okay with that!

So the day was going perfectly and the weather was gorgeous! It is always fun out on the land with the parents and little bit, but we sure missed our daddy who loves the land probably even more than us!

We all hopped back in the car to head home and that is when things took an unexpected turn! We had been driving for about 30ish minutes when little bit just starts throwing up in the car..like real throw up not baby spit up! We pulled over and let her "finish" and it was everywhere! EVERYWHERE! We stripped her down and got her cleaned up! It was such a sad sight to see and you could tell she was so confused! She seemed to feel fine though! We put her back in her carseat...naked! She quickly fell asleep..holding on to my finger the rest of the way home!

I thought that it was just maybe carsickness because she was acting like herself all day long so it just seemed like everything was okay! We got home and she seemed okay so we did our normal routine and got ready for bed! Around 10:00pm I had the gut feeling that I should go check on her so I snuck in her room and just rubbed her back and she was on fire! So I quickly got her up and took her to the living room, we took her temperature and it was 102.4! That was the highest that it has ever been, I wasn't too nervous but knew that her temperature was getting up there into the worry zone. Lucky for me, my brother is a doctor! So we called him and got his opinion and gave her some tylenol! We were about to put her back down and when she started throwing up all over me again...like everything  inside her little tummy (your welcome for the details :) ). Not fun at all! This time we called and woke up my dad to see what he thought since I knew now with the throw up...and later not so fun diaper..I needed to make sure she was not going to become dehydrated! He agreed with the brother about the tylenol and to check on her in an hour!  She went back to sleep super easily and stayed that way the rest of the night! When I checked her temp about an hour later it had gone way down so that was great! She woke up the next morning and was acting pretty sluggish so we had to cancel our plans of going to see her grandparents in Duncanville! :( Her temperature stayed down the whole day so we think she just had a stomach virus! Luckily by this morning she was back to her happy and playful self!! It is no fun seeing your baby girl sick and just feeling helpless!! We spent most of the day Sunday lounging around and cuddling (which I didn't hate ;) )! We are ready for this week of sunshine and warm weather...except for our rainy day today!

Five on Friday

ONE. This texas girl has loved her snow days with her family and seeing little bit experience it for the first time but is so ready for the warm spring weather to be here!! We had what was *hopefully* our last snow day yesterday…though it is still 27 degrees today..

(she is obsessed with eating the snow..not sure if its because we are teething or she just likes it..)
(this may be one of my all time favorite pictures..I love when she just decides to give me a kiss..)

TWO. The husband gave up sweets for lent (along with other things) and I'm always trying to cut back on sweets so I have been searching high and low to find something to curb our sweet tooth in a healthy way. My mom actually found this Pioneer Woman parfait recipe for a shower we hosted last weekend and oh my goodness they were delicious, and healthy for the most part (minus the whipping cream..its only a small amount..)! The husband loves them and we may have had them a few times already this week!

THREE. I have never been good at keeping surprises and I guess that will never change. I have started working on little bits 1st birthday party, which is Watermelon themed because that was my #1 craving with her..like I could eat a whole watermelon by myself in a day. Out. Of. Control.  I ordered her these watermelon bloomers off of Etsy and we just got them in. I am in love!!

(check out that neck roll..hehe)

FOUR. Last weekend I got to help throw a baby shower for one of my friends that I have known my whole life! She is having a sweet baby boy that will be joining us at the end of May! We don't get to see her very much since they live in Virgina so it was so fun to spoil her and that little boy this past weekend!!

FIVE. With Easter being a few weeks I have started planning little bits first Easter basket and having so much fun doing it too! Here a few things that I have gotten so far and I can't wait to give them to her ...from the Easter Bunny of course ;) Most of the items came from one of our favorite stores www.shopsugarbit.com

I have one more special thing to add to her Easter basket so check back in a few weeks to see what it is!

Happy Weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by!!

Snowflakes are falling on my head

We have had some crazy weather lately for us Texans. I feel like I have spent 90% of my times inside because of the cold temperatures and SNOW/sleet. When it snows in Texas life stops and everyone shuts down. I kind alike that though..its nice to slow down for a bit…though now that we have had what feels like weeks of this I am ready for the warm sunshine! It was fun to see little bit experience her first snow/sleet. She was skeptical at first but then warmed up to it..I think she mainly just didn't' like her pink snow suit because she can't move well in it and girlfriend likes to move! We had fun playing in the snow for a little bit each time! Also it is always a fun bonus to have daddy trapped at home with us!!

We woke up another morning to it snowing so we stepped out on the balcony to try and catch some flakes in our hands! *ignore that I am in shorts..it took long enough to get little bit bundled that I could of cared less what I had on by that point*

After nap time we went out again to catch a few flakes on our tongue..how this girl knew to do this is beyond me! How perfect is this weather for our "Little Miss Snowflake" onesie!

It snowed so much this day…pretty hard and constant all day long! We went back out for a second time later to much more snow! We got smart and took a blanket with us this time! WG kept wanting to eat the snow!

Notice the snow on our hat…we fell over because she refuses to sit normal in her pink suit! Funny girl!

We only spend a few minutes outside before we are all freezing and ready to head inside, so we have been pulling out all the tricks to keep little bit entertained! Even bedtime story time got an upgrade! She was fascinated with all the little pieces to go with The Very Hungry Catepillar.
Story I don't want to forget: When the husband is home in time for bedtime he reads her a story, so since he was home all day he got to do it this night! I was in the living room picking up and half way listening to them in her room. I over heard him reading the story to her and when he got to the part about when the caterpillar eats all of the junk food he proceeds to add on that the caterpillar may get diabetes so we don't eat like that, and what it means to eat healthy…glad he is trying to instill healthy eating habits to our 9 month old :)

We painted…this was fun because I could leave it up and she would come back to it through out the day! I think the camo tape was a nice touch too!

We brought in some snow for little bit to play with and she loved it! She went straight to eating it..I think because she is teething it felt good on her gums!

I thought her hands must be frozen after playing in the snow for so long so I put gloves socks on her…that was obviously not what she wanted! Frozen hands are so much better!

We played with all of our baby dolls…a lot. I think we have a girly girl on our hands!

..and of course one of our favorite activities..playing with mommas makeup..the bag full of the most exciting things according to WG!

Funny enough as I write this we are waiting on another "arctic blast" to make its way through our area…so perhaps more snow(s) day are in in our new future! Happy Weslee Wednesday!
